We're celebrating betwixtmas with a double dose of spycraft... After enjoying the seedy realism of The Spy Who Came in From the Cold on Monday 29th December, join us for the campy delights of Billion Dollar Brain on Tuesday 30th December.

This adaptation of the classic John le Carré novel offers a bracing dose of post-war British seediness and double-dealing, with the great Richard Burton battling shady operators on both sides of the Iron Curtain (with the help of a startling amount of booze).

The Spy Who Came in From the Cold plunges us into the story of Alec Leamas, a washed-up spook back in London after a harrowing stint at the coalface of the Cold War in West Berlin. Leamas seems intent on ending his days staring at the bottom of a whisky glass, but as ever with le Carré, all is not as it first seems...

A gloriously cynical portrait of the espionage game, The Spy Who Came in From the Cold is the perfect hard-bitten antidote to the festive season.
