We kick off our festive 'Gastroplex' season with a screening of Luis Bunuel's brilliant, surrealist satire.  The action centres on a group of characters - amongst them Cube favourites Delphine Seyrig and Bulle Ogier - trying (and failing) to get fed.

Now, it may seem that the Cube is being perverse by kicking off a season of feasting films with a film pointedly lacking in feasting.  And you know what, you're probably right.  However, we consider this to be the 'aperitif' for our season, so we defend ourselves by suggesting we are simply trying to whet your appetite.

What's more, there's a lot of good cocktail drinking on display here, not least with the inclusion of Bunuel's own personal version of a dry martini.  We may not be able to feed you, but we can certainly ensure you get a nice drink.  You might even get yourself a signature Bunuel Martini from the Cube bar before or after the film (while stocks last!).
