Please read the information below on being a Covid safe Cube.  Main points - tickets are sold in blocks of two, and face coverings are required at all times (unless exempt).

We are very pleased to have the welcome return of Kavus Torabi (The Utopia Strong,Gong, Cardiacs, Knifeworld, Guapo, The Monsoon Bassoon) to The Cube.  Tonight's set will feature, amongst others, specially selected cuts from the album released in 2020, Hip To The Jag.  Described by The Quietus as " an album full of delight, and a fine contribution to the transcendent, the psychedelic and the glorious", Kavus uses layers of Indian harmonium drone and shifting electronics to create rich atmospheres.  These atmospheres are layered with melody from Kavus's uplifting, almost ethereal vocals providing a heavenly destination for your minds voyage.  This evening Kavus will be performing an intimate solo set with his harmonium and electric guitar.

Joining us tonight we have Michael Woodman (Thumpermonkey), who is touring with Kavus in support of his first foray into the solo world with the brand new EP Psithurism.  Heavily influenced by 70's prog, 80's Scott Walker and weird fiction, it fuses these elements into an almost post-rock sound, it's an EP rich in sound.  Mixing heavy riffs, clattering electronics, delicate falsetto and layers of saxophone, it will be a delight to hear this transformed into a solo offering.

Audience: Capacity is currently limited to 50 people at the Cube and you’ll need to buy a ticket beforehand, sold in groups of two.

Please wear a mask at all times within the building (unless exempt).

If you, anyone in your household, or anyone you have had contact with develops Corona virus symptoms - please stay home!  In this case, we will offer a full refund on request.  If you do not wish to donate your ticket cost to the running of The Cube, please email cubeadmin@cubecinema.com with your ticket reference before the show.

Bar: At the moment The Cube is not running a full Bar (there may be one with a small selection of bottles), due to potential space and congregating issues but you can BYO drinks, until further notice. If you want to drink, you’ll still need I.D though and we’ll be strict on this, so if you look on the south side of 30 bring some form of I.D down.

If any of the above changes, we will of course update you, so keep checking back in to the Cube programme page.
