"Hell is a teenage girl"

Dismissed critically on release as a failed teen horror, Jennifer’s Body flopped in 2009. The studio marketed it as some horny teen horror for dudes, completely missing that Diablo Cody and Karyn Kusama had actually made a blood-soaked revenge fantasy about the complicated, sometimes toxic intimacy between teenage girls.

It was a casualty of the time and a perfect example of a studio misunderstanding its own product. We love that this isn't just a horror film. It's a cynical, messy, and necessary examination of female rage and survival wrapped in gore and witty one-liners with a genuinely iconic performance from Megan Fox.

Now, rightfully reclaimed as a cult classic, Jennifer's Body embodies the very spirit of our Christmas Turkeys season: a work that was artistically misunderstood which just needed time to find its audience.

Doors open 30 minutes before advertised start time. All film screenings are ad-free and 18+ unless otherwise stated, and start with no more than a 10 min selection of trailers.
