The most wild, surreal, innovative, comedic, anarchic and fun Czech New Wave film to escape from behind the velvet curtain in the 1960s – we are excited to present the amazing and energetic Daisies as part of the Scalarama season celebrating cinema in public spaces across the nation. Inevitably banned by the Czech sensors after release for its depiction of wanton degeneracy, Daisies gives us the story of two young women revolting against an oppressive society, provocatively attacking symbols of wealth and bourgeois culture, and pushing all the buttons and boundaries. To say nothing of the whirlwind of how it looks.
It’s ace – come and share the experience with some other folk!
Tickets are sold on the door from approximately 30 minutes before the advertised showing time.
