BEEF LABS - 15th December - 8pm - The Cube Microplex, Bristol
BEEF Labs present an evening of experimental practice focussed on photochemical film processes by members of BEEF and close associates. A rich and wide-ranging selection of works from over 10 artists, including films shot on 8mm, 16mm and 35mm created with and without using a camera. The programme will encompass techniques such as developing film using eco-friendly processes, films made directly with plants and mould, to the subversion and re-appropriation of found footage and live performance incorporating multiple projections and specially pressed vinyl. The evening will be surrounded by lively, creative discussion with many of the artists present to discuss their work… with DJs at the bar.
