A Black Pyramid retrospective

-
Thu 15 March 2018 // 19:30

Tickets: £5 (full), £4 (concession)

A special screening of rare and historical films from the Black Pyramid archive plus talks and discussions.

Inspired by Black Pyramid's legacy, Cables & Cameras has gained exclusive access to the company's archive and will be screening a number of their films. A panel discussion hosted by Adam Murray (Come The Revolution) will succeed the screening with the aim to encourage and empower filmmakers of colour.

Black Pyramid, established in 1993, was an African Caribbean film and video project. Based in St. Paul’s, it was the first of its kind in the south west, set up to give BME filmmakers new opportunities.

CABLES&CAMERAS is a new event presenting films made by black, Asian and minority ethnic filmmakers. Providing a supportive space to network, collaborate and develop ideas. Inspiring cross generational alliances of filmmakers and moving image manipulators in the Bristol area.

The event open to both professional and amateur filmmakers, including anyone with an interest in film. To get in touch and to submit a film please contact cablescameras@yahoo.com
