Friday 10th: Twocsinak, Men Diamler, special guest, Colin Smith, SJ Esau, mr_hopkinson, My Ambulance Is On Fire, Ian Green

Two nights of live music from Bristol’s una-control freaks and unhinged solo artists. A mini-gala, a boot sale, an-off-the-peg display of Bristol musicians who seem to avoid gentle-categorisation, work solo and play weird. QuWack celebrates a role-call of extraordinary musicians from an unheard of Bristol micro-climate.

Incestuous, record company chicken feed, competitive beats, trip-hoppy, ska-dubby, festival punk and meek acoustica are all words tossed aside by this handsome lot. This QuWack is M = male. The next will be F = female. Seven and a half men per night, crammed in for yr nerve-end entertainment. Jam hot tubby.

The first night of QuWack starts with the Neal Cassidy of Bristol, the underground daddy ya ya that is Ian Green, it then stands up right for the artist that gets starkers MAIOF, chugs over into digi-song with the Singing Computer, the first half then glitters with stoned gold epiphany in the company of SJ E. After a break we crack off the ebonies with C. Smith, lift off the shirts and get all god fearing for Men D and then, sweet jesus, what an end with Twocsinak doing seven and a half minutes of condensed DIY genius. Keys, guitar, voice, computer, turntable, drum, phono all made mad.
