Previously best known for his comedy work, Jordan Peele's directorial début is an innovative modern horror. Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) is anxious about meeting his girlfriend's (Allison Williams) parents for the first time, who don't know that he's black. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behaviour as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
