Alasdair Roberts Trio

The unique singer, songwriter, guitarist and dear friend of the Cube Alasdair Roberts will be playing with with two long-time collaborators - drummer Alex Neilson (Trembling Bells) and bassist Stevie Jones (Arab Strap). They'll present songs from Alasdair's extensive critically-acclaimed back catalogue of traditional and original material along with some new music which they've been working on together over the past few months.

Death Shanties

Death Shanties is a new balls-to-the-wall free jazz group featuring Alex Neilson (drums) and Sybren Renema (alto/baritone sax). The duo combine references to medieval music, sea shanties and field hollers with the ecstatic cry of classic 1960s fire music. This is improvised music of the highest grade.

Sound Of Yell

Sound of Yell is the work of Glaswegian composer Stevie Jones, featuring a mutable cast of fellow players – predominantly instrumental music of great subtlety and depth.

“Wonderfully eccentric acoustic music, composed and performed by Stevie Jones with a supporting cast of Glasgow’s alternative music luminaries. Absorbing, original and moving.” – fROOTS

“An acoustic outing of tenacious, mutable beauty.” – Mojo
