A love story set in a world where single people, according to the rules of The City, are arrested and transferred to The Hotel. There they are obliged to find a matching mate in 45 days. If they fail, they are transformed into an animal of their choosing and released into The Woods. A desperate Man escapes from The Hotel to The Woods where The Loners live and falls in love, although it is against their rules.

Lanthimos is well known for his savage satire, carefully crafted through unsettling narrative and unnerving tonal shifts. The Lobster is no different, taking high concept comedy to its limits. Just when you think you know what to expect, the story turns on a dime and descends into brilliantly imagined depravity. A harsh criticism of heteronormative social values and the boxes we willingly force ourselves into.

All advance tickets for Monday and Tuesday have now sold out. There will be handful of tickets on the door for both screenings from 7.30pm.

Don't forget we have a Baby Cinema screening on Wednesday at 11am
