All the Buttons, All At Once & The Cube present AFTER/HOURS/DROP/BOX:

Oliver Sutherland // HENGE

Supported by REPO-MAN, GINDRINKER and ORGANCHRIST

The Cube is pleased to present artist Oliver Sutherland's second collaboration with the band HENGE. For this live event Oliver will be presenting a tweaked take on his unique CGI moving image work projected during a full live set by the band.

HENGE (London) play reflective, slow, burning, heavy punk rock. Their début album, coming out September 21st on God Unknown Records 'comes across like a lost Amrep record, psychedelic in the true sense of altering perception and pushing the listener to the inner depths of the subconsciousness. It's acid fried, heavy and slow, something which Trance Syndicate head King Coffey would have snapped up for his label.'

Oliver Sutherland graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2012. Recent exhibitions include C~C Tate St Ives, Cornwall (2015), FOAM, Pro Numb, London (2014), Groundhog day ***ONLINE***, The Lombard Method, Birmingham (2013), Home Theatre, Baró Galeria, Sao Paulo (2013), Dumb Rocks, Belmacz Gallery, London (2013) and Brand Innovations for Ubiquitous Authorship, Carroll/Fletcher, London (2013)

Support comes from:

Local noise rock gurus REPO-MAN, who recently released their second LP 'Minesweeping', described by Louderthanwar as 'A disorienting document of wailing guitars, mentalist saxophone spouts and poetic lyricism delivered with enough aggression to give the Jesus Lizard a run for their money.'

Welsh lo-fi post-punkers GINDRINKER, in the words of Buzzmag:  'DC Gates’ witty and acerbic street poetry is delivered with such singular vehemence, you get the feeling he’d be doing it regardless of musical accompaniment. So while DC rants about cyclists and dog Valhalla, Gareth Middleton arm-wrestles a drum machine and two guitars into submission with moves learnt from Slayer, Tad, Big Black and My Bloody Valentine.'

Kicking the evening off in suitably bleak and noisy style will be Bristol based analogue death drone duo ORGANCHRIST, a tape loop and doom metal experiment in aural terror.

ALL THE BUTTONS, ALL AT ONCE DJs till late, playing a baffling range of noise rock / weird jazz / punk / death metal & electronica.

AFTER/HOURS/DROP/BOX is a roaming platform for video and performance artwork run by artist John Lawrence which investigates the influence of the music video on contemporary art.
