This outrageously entertaining, quasi-autobiographical first feature is directed, written by and stars Desiree Akhaven, creator of the cult web series The Slope who you also may recognise from the latest series of Girls.

Appropriate Behaviour follows Shirin, a bisexual Brooklynite with an amazing ability to sabotage everything she touches. Bedevilled by the strictures of her Iranian upbringing she struggles to keep her bisexuality a secret from her family. After breaking up with her girlfriend Maxine she is left wondering where it all went wrong and embarks on a series of ill-advised sexual escapades while spectacularly failing at her day job .

Funny, unique, and entirely inappropriate, as well as well as featuring the most awkward lingerie shopping scene we've seen, it is a supremely satisfying and irreverent take on the New York rom-com.  Lena Dunham likes it and we think you will too.

Buy advance tickets (no need to print as we have a list on the door) On-line booking closes at 4pm.

"Funny, risky and in exhilaratingly bad taste" ★★★★☆ Guardian

"a satisfying depth and heart here that’s more in line with Annie Hall" ★★★★☆  Time Out

"Desiree Akhavan is a one-woman new wave." - ★★★★☆ Little White Lies

“Audacious and Funny and Unique.” - Lena Dunham

"Akhavan is very much her own artist – with a polyglot urban voice that comes off like an unholy cross between Fran Lebowitz, Junot Diaz, Tina Fey and Hanif Kureishi." - Rolling Stone

The Cube is completely ad-free. Please note the feature will start following a short selection of trailers/information relevant to our programme. Doors open 30 mins before the advertised start time to allow time to buy or collect tickets.
