Inequality, injustice and the demands of the world we live in cause stress and depression for many people. Some of them, however, explode. This is a movie about those people.  Road-rage drivers, loan sharks, shady lawyers, critics, corrupt politicians, cheating husbands, traffic wardens – all get a roasting in this delirious black comedy from Argentina co-produced by the Almodóvar brothers.

Wickedly hilarious and delightfully deranged, Damián Szifrón’s Wild Tales is a subversive satire that brings together six stories in a gloriously retro-styled portmanteau package loosely connected by the theme of revenge.  Ranging from the ludicrous to the socially relevant, the film is both an attack on the corruption and inequality of Argentinian society and a riotously funny comedy.

Combining absurd humour, stylish visuals and an A-list Argentinian cast you’re unlikely to have this much fun watching any film all year. Wild Tales has been inspiring spontaneous applause from festival audiences around the world, we thought it was a hoot and hope you do to.
