This month Hellfire Video Club is diving head first into the beautifully comforting waters of the 1980's, with a thematically-overloaded double bill of "Night of the..." movies. Main feature is the grossly under-heralded "NIGHT OF THE CREEPS" (Fred Dekker, 1986), where Tom Atkins investigates some grisly goings on involving brain-eating alien parasites and horny teenagers. "Thrill me!" This cheeky gem delivers everything you could possibly want from a genre drive-in flick, including a perfect tagline: "The good news is your dates are here. The bad news is ...they're dead" !!!

Second feature sticks tightly to the 'teenagers against the apocalypse' theme: "NIGHT OF THE COMET" (Thom Eberhardt, 1984) follows two valley girls as they head to the mall after all life on earth has been wiped out by a mysterious meteorite. But are they really alone?

HFVC DJs will be on hand in the bar, playing the finest weirdo 80's B-movie muzak. Put it in your Filofax.
