Locatronics is now two [events old] and to celebrate we're screening this joyously enthralling documentary. It's a history of soviet electronic pioneers from Leon Theremin to the cold war generation, who stole spare parts and surveillance equipment from the KGB to bend and modify.
Also featuring a rare live outing from legendary Bristol analogue electronics whizz and instrument inventor Tom Bugs and live doom/drone/gamelan inflected electronics from the mighty Uiutna [ZamZam recs] .The Hellfire VC crew will also be on hand to spin eastern bloc analogue electronic oddities, library music and other gems.
Stayed tuned for further exciting lineup developments too!
We'll be opening doors at 7 pm with a special East European barbecue in the garden [weather permitting].
