Smiles, tears, love, guts and rock 'n' roll from one of the best
singer-songwriters recently seen creeping out of a computer. Mugison has been outselling Bjork in his native Iceland (whether there's clearly something in the water) and you'll be glad to know he's also completely bonkers. A genre straddler to rival Beck, he invokes the gruff tones of Bonnie Prince Billy, the wonkiness of Matthew Herbert and the sunshine psychedelia of The Super Furries, glued together in the kind of surreal flight of fancy you'd expect from a former Arctic fisherman. Prepare for his fearless and unpredictable live show, a one man display of crashing guitar and distorted vocals mixed live through a laptop (which may crash, but who cares?)
Fresh from touring Canada, comes a newly energised Francois with a rush of blood to his head. The impeccable songcraft remains, you'll just need to find it beneath a wall of feedback.
Messed up broken dreams in the bar with Randek.
