Carbon Paycheque are a Canadian three piece from London who make psyched-out dubby dance sounds for the 21st century. Analogue synths, Live A/V business, Movie dialogue, strange Costumes and a general air of performance keep everything fun while Clockwork Electronics give way to stuttering Rhythm which ushers in Midnight Synth Throb in a sparse Technicolour Noir soundscape with boy girl vocals call, respond, drift-out and get stressed out on the Subway. In the vein of Future Sound of London or Demdike Stare. Their début album Ultra HQ came out in October and you are going to love it.
Support comes from Lands end, the occasional haunted pop project of Matthew Cheney (arctic circle / amber nectar) play their first show in six years. Summoning the ghost of Nico on the magnetic fields lonely highway amidst the rural psychedelia of old.
Also GNAR HEST - Matt Loveridge (Beak/Speed the Plough/Fairhorns/MxLx) doing Wrong/Mong miserychords, digital doom, synthmangling drone bliss.
