The Cube is pleased to bring another two great artists to you from the Denovali Records roster. 

Poppy Ackroyd is a performer and composer from London who is currently based in Edinburgh. Classically trained on violin and piano, her début album Escapement was released on Denovali Records in December 2012 and she has just released the dvd/album Escapement Visualised in collaboration with Bristol-based visual artist Lumen (they met as members of the Hidden Orchestra, also on Denovali) as a musical/visual project. Her music is organic in nature yet mechanical and mathematical sounding in structure - both austere and emotional. Driving propulsive programmed rhythms mixed with live piano and violin partly recall mid-career Autechre.

Carlos Cipa is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Munich. He creates unique contemporary compositions fraught with beauty, tension and emotional intensity. He released his début album 'The Monarch and the Viceroy' on Denovali Records in 2012. He has been classically trained on the piano and currently studies contemporary classical composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. Over the last three years Carlos Cipa played over 60 concerts all over Europe and shared the stage with like-minded musicians like HAUSCHKA, ÓLAFUR ARNALDS and VALGEIR SIGURDSSON.

Also playing will be Ocean Floor - the Bristol-based Irishman who plays beautiful and beguiling synth/piano/guitar compositions.
