Delaney Davidson finally returns to the Cube after a few years away touring, writing new songs and winning awards for his collaboration with fellow NZ musician Marlon Williams. Citing influences from Tom Waits and Lou Reed through to Ennio Morricone, and recorded on tape at Outside Inside’s now notorious studio, Swim Down Low, his fifth solo album, features giant monster fish, poisoned love, apocalypse warnings, and a trip upriver to a local dance hall. Davidson's own special blend of lo-fi gothic folk-noir swamp hop will fill the Cube with twanging steel guitar, blues harmonica, unsettling rhythms and the sound of far away trains passing by.
Joined by local instrumental surf rockers Mustard Allegro and vintage songstress Zuleika Gregory of Boxcar Aldous Huxley fame, this is one night you won't want to miss.
Advance tickets available in person from Here Shop (Stokes Croft) and Bristol Ticket Shop, or buy tickets online.
