TUNDRA
(Fri 21st / 8pm / £5)

poetry, noise, strings, songs and flowers from the south east.

Tundra's songs take us on a quest to bleak and pristine Northern landscapes, where amidst the fragile and timeless beauty sit shelters made of concrete and made of rust. The music explores aspiration and expansivity through contemporary songwriting, texture, sound manipulation and improvisation.

The group features string trio, laptop and keyboards alongside the usual guitar group, contextualising the poetic vocal melodies. They play the Cube as the first night of a short UK tour.

plus! excellent support from MR BENNETT- A prolific descendant in the long line of outstanding Canadian singer/songwriters. A master of depth and simplicity. A Mr. Bennett composition typically resonates a richness of lyric, melody and voice. A definitive style from a born performer. Makes it look easy, a true natural.
