THE EASTON COWBOYS present OUTSIDE THE BOX
or
'It's Art - But is it football?'
(Sun 4th / 3pm on / £2 though nobody turned away for lack of funds)
Bristol's most intrepid sporting side, the Easton Cowboys, takes over The Cube for the launch of their exhibition Outside The Box. This show
features photographs and art from Club players and Cowboys-aligned artists alike, and traces the club's development & exploits at home and abroad over the last decade. The exhibition is set for a year-long journey round Bristol's many Sports and Leisure centres, but stops here first at the Cube for a
fortnight-long gala viewing. Tonight's launch party will also feature Cowboys films, including the premiere of the documentary of their 2003 Morocco tour. Plus music from Cowboy DJs including Party Paul and Pretty Boy; a Beat the Keeper competition; kids activities and Euro 2004 surprises. To boot.
All proceeds to go to KIPTIK, the Cowboys' sister organisation which
raises funds for water projects in the Zapatista-held autonomous zones in Chiapas, Mexico.
