Hot on the heels of 2002’s Listening To Learn EP, October 2003 saw the release of Ministry Of Defiance’s critically acclaimed LP Chapel Couture and tonight the Cube is proud to present live performances from the Ministry itself.
Gaining extensive airplay on Radio1’s John Peel shows, as well as WFMU New York and Radio 3’s Mixing It, Ministry Of Defiance are now presenting this album as a live performance with film. Ministry of Defiance specialise in the field of lofi electronica, and have been compared to such luminaries as Coil, Mount Vernon Arts Lab and the BBC Radiophonic workshop. Their film work utilises super 8 and found film cut up techniques, creating an exhilarating and enveloping sonic visual experience.
With Cube Dj's in the bar to bounce of those spikes, this should be a night of real interest and so expect the unexpected!
