In the run up to Oscar (tm) nominations week, the Cube offers you the already supposed 'FILM OF THE YEAR'. Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson star in Sofia Coppola's second directorial outing as two Americans staying in Tokyo, both out of place and losing direction. The unconsummated love affair between the middle-aged failed actor and confused young wife explores how people can feel alienated when abroad and the connections they can unexpectedly find with others. It is a romance with a comic twist (thanks to Murray's talents) and has been universally admired for its style and sensitivity.
