KAVALIER CLUB with THE KLINKER feat THE FUJII, Hugh Metcalf and more
(Sat 23th Oct / 8pm / £4/3)

Welcome to the Kavalier Club, Bristol’s anarchic forum for free thinking musicians and artists from across the board…tonight we’re proud to link up with London’s THE KLINKER, the nation’s longest running and most consistently challenging, surreal, and downright mischievous improv (anti-) establishment.
A blues slide player and violinist from Japan collide with a bloke from Kentish Town who blows down a gas main in the unlikely alchemy that is THE FUJII. The band’s unique line up fuses Japanese folk and classical musics with the avant garde leanings of Paul Shearsmith (on toy instruments) to create a quite extraordinary piece of outsider folk art.

Plus The Klinker’s master of ceremonies HUGH METCALF, an eccentric,
multi-talented musician, performance artist, filmmaker and the epitomy of all things Klinker. Tonight he performs with collaborator James Holcombe as BICYCLE CLIP SEX - an orgy of mutant casios, ukelele and the obligatory gas mask combined with homemade Super08 footage. CABBAGE HEAD is your compere for the evening.

Also tonight we have a number of new and unpredictable collaborations from members of THE REVOLUTIONARY KNITTING CIRCLE collective, KNOWLEDGE OF BUGS, TIM STONE, V.I. and TEAM BRICK.
