Goro Hanada is a high-ranking hitman with a fetish for the smell of boiled rice, but when a job goes badly wrong he becomes a mob target himself, relentlessly pursued by none other than the Yakuza's legendary Number One Killer. Prolific director Suzuki crafted some of the most frenzied films of Japan's New Wave, but this - his magnum opus - was so extreme that he was fired by his Nikkatsu studio. Watch if you dare....
