Hundreds of hydro-electric dams in Panama. Incinerators burning rubbish in India. Eucalyptus forests harvested for charcoal in Brazil.

What do all these projects have in common? They're all receiving carbon credits for offsetting pollution created elsewhere. But what impacts are these offsets having? Are they actually reducing emissions? And what about the communities where these projects have been set up?

This groundbreaking documentary explores what happens when we manipulate markets to solve the climate crisis, and takes us around the world to meet those who the ‘green gold’ multi-billion dollar carbon industry is most affecting.

This event is the first collaboration between Bristol Radical Film Festival and Montreal-based Cinema Politica (http://www.cinemapolitica.org), coordinator of one of the biggest radical exhibition networks in the world, and the UK Radical Film Network, a new organisation that provides support to politically radical film groups in the UK.
