THE BILLY NAYER SHOW live! + shorts
(Sat 19th / 8pm / £6/5)

The Billy Nayer Show is a bass-drums-autoharp rock trio that deliver sonic yarns in a bouyant, slinky, and theatrical style. You could call them frightening, endearing, psychotic, elegant, disturbing, absurd, but most likely 'hard to describe'. Driven by the creative pluralism of frontman CORY McABEE, the band has to its credit 15 years of music, artwork, books, cartoons, comic strips, short films, and the award-winning feature length film THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT.
2nite we are honoured to present some of the band's early short films including: THE MAN ON THE MOON: A dejected husband exiles himself to the moon where he sends strange and intimate holiday transmissions to Earth. Filmed on a Pixel Vision camera intended for use by children. It features cameos by San Fran's late-great Buck Naked and Tommy Moon Cat. Plus other treats!

Support comes from the exquisite digital shower that is THE DAGGERBROTHERS- an absurdist electronica offshoot from some of the boys who brought the world awesome local outfit (and Cube champions) EFTUS SPECTUN.
