(Friday 15 November, 8pm. £5 advance, £6 on the door)
The launch gig for Hazel Winter's fourth solo album, Dusting for Prints – which was recorded in her living room with ex-Blue Aeroplanes mate John Langley and bassist Ruth Cochrane.
John drummed on a cardboard box and Hazel played guitar with her vibrator! Minimal overdubs involved Hazel exploring a late-onset glockenspiel affliction and playing the horse-head fiddle she brought back from southern Siberia in 2007 on a trip to find a shaman.
"An extraordinarily unsettling persona... one to watch, but with the lights on." (Mojo)
"Jagged, edgy, rare and brilliant." (Guitar Magazine)
"Original and thrilling... absolutely one to watch, Winter can be a mesmerising live performer, her raw, spiked sound and nervy onstage persona singling her out as the real deal." (Venue)
Support comes from Rita Lynch and Abi Swift.
