(Nicolas Winding Refn / 2009 / UK / 92 minutes / Certificate 18)
Nicolas Winding Refn (director of Drive) creates a stunningly surreal and camp telling of the life of violent moustachioed nutter Charles Bronson in this week’s MIDNIGHT MOVIE. Winding Refn subverts the clichés of the British hardman genre, while showing the full tragi-comic scariness of Bronson's fantasy world. With a career-best central performance from Tom Hardy, and an incredible soundtrack by the Walker Brothers, Glass Candy, and New Order.
DJ Mouse-slayer will be spinning tunes in the bar beforehand for pre-film drinks, and the beautiful Blusherettes will be on hand to administer behavioural correction.
