This month HFVC is celebrating one of cinema’s more under-heralded
moustache-wearers: Richard Harrison has had a long and colourful history in film, starting out as a body-builder, going on to star in many fine Euro B-movies and Spaghetti Westerns before getting hideously exploited in the Hinterland of Asian Z-grade action movies. And it is the latter we are proudly piping onto the big screen this evening.

Our first feature is “Challenge of the Tiger” (AKA “seize the formula” 1980), a ridonkulous martial arts/secret-agent movie about a wannabe Bruce Lee aiding our man Rich as he tries to stop an evil villain stealing some sort of daft infertility drug.

This will be followed by ‘Scorpion Thunderbolt’, a brilliantly indecipherable mash-up from far-east exploitation legend Godfrey Ho. A cinematic car-crash with elements of a few aborted films, all smooshed together with stolen bits of music and very bad dubbing, to make a slice of trash cinema heaven.

In the bar HFVC DJs will be playing their finest selections of fuzz, scuzz and world-wide-weirdness.
