(Thu 14 March / 7.30 doors for 8pm film / £5/4)
(Jim Jarmusch / 1999 / USA / 116 minutes / Certificate 15)
20th Century Cube aren't immune to hip hop. When we're not talking films at the Cube you'll usually find us in a smoke-filled Benz, nodding out to some Wu Tang. Because of this, we had no difficulty selecting Ghost Dog for March. It's a Mafiosi/Samurai/Hip-Hop hybrid from 1999: Forest Whitaker is the hit man with a code. RZA provides the score. And Jim Jarmusch's script and directorial otherness takes care of the rest. It's poetry. The poetry of war.
