What Have You Done Today Mervyn Day?

-
Tue 3 July 2012 // 20:00

(Tues 3rd July / 8pm / £5/4 no TTT for this screening)
(Paul Kelly / UK / 2005 / 60 minutes)

Join us for a one off screening of this gorgeous little film by Paul Kelly [Lawrence of Belgravia] to mark it's timely reissue as the Olympics juggernaut veers ever closer. Gloriously shot in saturated colour and infused with nostalgic warmth this is a dramatized document of the dying days of the Lea Valley prior to its conversion into an Olympics theme park (as seen through the eyes of a teenage paperboy). With a guest appearance from David Essex and a glorious soundtrack by cult popsters St Etienne, this is a film not to be missed. The director Paul Kelly and Bob Stanley from St Etienne will also be on hand for a post film Q+A.

Also screening 'Kirkcaldy Man', an award winning short film by German filmmaker Julian Schwanitz about his quest to meet reclusive and troubled (now sadly dead) darts legend Jocky Wilson.

DJ action from Gareth [Lipstick On Your Collar] in the bar beforehand.
