After the tumultuous acclaim for our first Comedy Combo, another chance for local stand ups to polish their schtick on stage in the warm and friendly embrace of the Cube, followed by classic screwball comedy 'His Girl Friday' starring Gary Grant and Rosalind Russell Cary Grant plays cynical news editor Walter Burns. Ace reporter and ex-wife Hildy Johnson (Russell) tells him she is leaving to get married. To get her back, both as wife and star reporter, Grant talks her into one last dramatic scoop, the imminent execution of convicted murderer Earl Williams, at the same time framing her hapless fiancé. Breakneck dialogue littered with one liners, with Grant ad-libbing at the top of his comedic form.
