(Grant Gee / 90 minutes / UK / 2012 / Cert. 12A)

Patience (After Sebald) by documentary film-maker Grant Gee (Joydivision) offers an exploration of the work of acclaimed writer W.G. Max Sebald (1944 – 2001) via a walk through East Anglia tracking his most influential book, The Rings of Saturn.

Patience is a multi-layered film essay on landscape, art history, life and loss. It explores and illuminates the work of Sebald through an intense, rhythmic montage of image.

Add to the mix a soundtrack by the great Leyland Kirby (The Caretaker), and contributions from artists including Iain Sinclair, Tacita Dean and Chris Petit....

For Monday evening's screening we are delighted to host the film's co-producer Gareth Evans to introduce the film + Q&A after.
