A thrilling return to the Cube for Kansas's fearless, heartbroken prom queen Piney Gir. Former singer in art-rockers the Schla La Las, she's released five albums of sad sunshine and exuberant twang. Her latest, 2011's Geronimo!, reboots the 1960s of mascara-run Spector girl groups, Pacific-coast surf harmonies and effortlessly tuneful longing.

Poppy Perezz's electro-Latin pop is the sound of a casiotone highlife blasting off into the Milky Way. Afrobeat rebuilt and remodelled with toy instruments and joyous dancing.

Bristol riot grrrl-inspired three-piece Drunken Butterfly take their name from the Sonic Youth song. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Kim Gordon, Babes in Toyland, PJ Harvey and Patti Smith, they combine guitar, bass and drums with ukulele and melodica to create a fusion of snarly fuzzy punk rock and acoustic folk pop.

Plus Bristol's finest club night featuring all female artists, Lipstick On Your Collar, takes over the Cube for late dancing.
