'Santa Sangre' stars Jodorowsky's son Axel as Fenix, a child of the circus and all its raw basest desires and jealousies backstage. The film is essentially a love story, and a story of a child's shattered mind as he grows to manhood. We shift in time to and from the adult life of Fenix in an asylum and his circus childhood, showing the ghosts that continue to haunt his mind.

'Santa Sangre' is colourful, stylish, ghoulish and circo-fabulous.
