An epic documentary which follows a group of veteran shepherds herding their huge flock one final time through the Beartooth Mountains of Montana - a journey of almost 300 kilometres. The focus is on the everyday details of animal tending and herding, the toll it takes on the men in the saddle and the dry humour they share to get them through. This isn't a typical documentary - there is no music to stir our emotions and no voice-over to give us information. It's a beautiful and unsentimental film which draws us into another world.
