Set in the near future, Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko / Brokeback Mountain) is Captain Colter Stevens, a decorated soldier who participates in a scientific experiment (known as ‘source code’) that displaces him into someone else's body during the last eight minutes of their life. The "other man" was on board a commuter train destroyed by a terrorist attack, and Colter has to relive the incident again and again until he finds out who the bomber was. Things get complicated when Colter becomes convinced he can change the past and save the lives of his fellow passengers...
A mix of flash bombast and metaphysical ideas, Source Code is both high concept sci-fi and adrenalin thriller (or Hollywood Quantum Leap)...
