Lemmy is pure rock ‘n’ roll; it’s that simple. Since getting kicked out of space-rockers Hawkwind in 1975, he and his band Motörhead have dispensed to their legions of fans an utterly uncompromising recipe of speed, volume, and no-nonsense attitude.

A true rock icon and lasting influence on both metal and punk, Lemmy embodies everything that countless other rockers aspire to be; so as well as plenty of tour and archive footage, the film features the highest praise from fans and fellow rockers alike. To quote Dave Grohl, Lemmy is ‘the last man standing, and no one else comes close’.

Clearly a man with the constitution of an ox, Lemmy is an entertaining raconteur, reflecting with humour and frankness on his lifetime of notorious rock ‘n’ roll excess. Motörhead fans Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski spent three years in his company, and have made what will surely become known as the definitive documentary.
