It's the most meaningless meaningful night of the year. To be worthy of entry, your costume must pass the door lobster test - inside, surrealist bacchanalia awaits the mucky few... ostrich feathers, rum, games, lights, knees, laughter, Dada bingo, absurd films, Exquisite Corpse, the smell of woodsmoke, the sound of a trout hitting a Belgian, an unlucky dip, someone's uncle, cake, hope, moustaches, nostalgia, maple syrup, and fingerless eyeballs.
Musical confusions sewn by Rozi Plain, Hesomagari, Strange Billy the Saint & Bernadette Pike, I am Horse, live performances from The Cardboard Chorus Line and Los Banditas, along with a veritable cornucopia of turntable talents including Mr Hopkinson, Mr Lux, DJ Gerry, Steve Cube, The Boom Operator and Teutonic Kaboom, to reveal just a little of what lies behind the red velvet curtain.
