"Chamber music for after the bomb!" - Jamie Harrison
Having sold out the Tobacco Factory and brought its audience unanimously to their feet, Pepino have turned their eye to the Cube for their next theatrical adventure.
For this very special show, Pepino, consisting of violin, cello, double bass, drums and vocals led by Blythe on piano, team up with visual artist Paul Blakemore to bring you "battlistica": a rendition of their epic/comic songs in a war-based environment alongside images from a battle reconstruction complete with shopping trolleys and fire extinguishers.
"Pepino are simply unmissable." - Venue magazine
In support comes Shona Foster, from the desolate Yorkshire Moors via Brighton. Her delicate songs, supported by strings, piano and percussion, bewitch and fascinate in equal measure, and won her début EP "single of the fortnight in The List.
"Haunting... Like Kate Bush holidaying in the Balkans" (Source magazine)
Nominated for the Virtual Festivals Best Live Act Award in 2009, alongside the likes of Bon Iver & PJ Harvey. Her forthcoming début album is released in January on Beach Hut Records.
