As part of the 2010 Bath Japanese Festival, Rachel Carvosso of Tokyo Artbeat and Japan editor of theloveofit online magazine, and Alan Summers founder of With Words, present an evening of thought-provoking entertainment.
This one night only event will screen two moving films. One, the original short film 'Jitensha' (Bicycle), has been a selection of a number of film festivals including the Venice Film Festival and the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. It received the Vision Award for Best Short Film? from the Heartland Film Festival and is a heartwarming tale of friendship, loss and survival.
The other film t.b.a. will be shown in connection to the May 18th talks at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute, aiming to raise awareness of the issue of Human Trafficking.
