'Resonation' is a fifteen piece contemporary jazz big band. Put together as a vehicle for the unique writing of Jim Blomfield, Kevin Figes and Jeff Spencer (experienced composers and band leaders in their own right),
the trio have relished the opportunity to form a new band showcasing
their collective talents. Coming at contemporary jazz from different
angles and featuring many of the finest players from Bristol's burgeoning jazz scene, the band is an exciting symbiosis of many different genres and playing styles. The band's successful debut gig was here at The
Cube, and was followed by an acclaimed performance at last years
Colston Hall jazz festival.
