(Fri 29th / 7.30 pm / £7 advance, £8 door)
OLO Worms bring label mates and friends to The Cube as part of the ‘Toxic Waist Band’ tour to celebrate the release of their first 7” single for Fence Records.
A multi-instrumental Bristol 4-piece, OLO Worms combine the sublime and the ridiculous, weird sounds and words to create a sound described as ‘moving between spartan atmospherics and fitful noise-baiting, recalling the likes of Panda Bear’.
SJ Esau, described as ‘a singer with a sense of humor and an ear for the beautifully bizarre’ by Anticon (his San Francisco based label) is a solo ace, using loops, stabs and synths to create a sonic amalgam like no-other.
The Welcome Committee’s songs spot the details you might have missed,
telling tales of kissing cousins and love-struck zoo-keepers. You’ll laugh and cry.
The Pictish Trail and DJ Romanhead will DJ all night through.
Unfortunately Francois and The Atlas Mountains will not be able to make tonight's show as previously advertised. Instead The Pictish trail will perform an acoustic set.
