Broadcast (Warp records) is made up of Trish Keenan and James Cargill. Originally from Birmingham, they have been active as Broadcast since 1995. Over the years the band has consisted of other members including drummers,
keyboardists and guitarists but at the heart of the group Trish and James have always existed. Their aesthetic has remained a combination of their love for film, library music and electronics with psych-pop colour.

Hugely influential, Broadcast’s sound has inspired many musicians, their music frequently sampled, notably by the likes of Prefuse 73 and Dangermouse and has appeared on many film soundtracks and TV shows from Morvern Callar to Skins. After three studio albums, two compilations and over 10 EP’s and singles, it can be said with confidence that Broadcast's return is greeted with much anticipation.
Back with a new collaborative mini-album 'Broadcast & The Focus Group
Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age' and following a month long US tour it is with great excitement that we welcome them to Cube. Performing as a duo their set will include the soundtrack to Ghost Box film ‘Winter Sun
Wavelengths’, selections from 'Witch Cults...' plus new songs from their forthcoming album.

An unmissable event which promises a timeless concoction of audio collage, clashes of sound and joyous song, reflecting memories of the existent or non-existent, exploring the real and imaginary through words and sound.
