The Cube is pleased to welcome director John T. Davis as he presents his award winning film, Hobo. In 1991 Davis spent 3 months jumping trains with a 16mm camera stashed in his roll mat to create this enduring intimate portrait of seasoned hobo, Beargrease, along with the other boxcar philosophers we meet along the way.
A warm cinematic treat framed by epic American landscapes yet contained by the campfire flicker of passing conversations, and to a soundtrack that includes Guthrie and Dylan. Tonight John joins us to share stories from his life of film making, and to play his own music.
The fire will be stoked in the cube garden for the yarns of all beatniks, drifters and dreamers.
