A masterpiece of storytelling and cinema, the 1963 Academy Award winner for Best Foreign-Language Film is one of the most written about, talked about, and imitated movies of all time. Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2 (Otto e mezzo) turns one man’s artistic crisis into a grand epic of the cinema.
The most autobiographical of Fellini's films, the plot of which concerns a 43-year-old film director who is having a midlife crisis, is a career benchmark for this magnificent Italian New Wave director. Beautifully choreographed with flashbacks, dream sequences, exaggerated fantasy scenes, and magical surrealist episodes, 8 1/2 is one of the richest, most exuberant movies, starring Marcello Mastroianni, Claudia Cardinale and Anouk Aimée. A classic not to be missed.
The watching-with-baby screenings are for parents/carers with young babies (up to 1 year) to enjoy a movie in the company of other parents and their offspring. We follow the weekly film program so you don't loose out on the
latest blockbusters, foreign language films and classic favourites. The Cube provides an area for prams, baby changing facilities, lowered movie volume and extra lighting in the auditorium.
There will always be a friendly Front of House on hand to help.
