The Cube is proud and pleased to host the first screening outside of the festival circuit of Fine Totally Fine in association with Third Window Films.
Director Yosuke Fujita was a hospital janitor for eight years before making Fine, Totally Fine and his hilarious debut focuses on characters who are all turning thirty and going nowhere fast. Teruo (Yoshiyoshi Arakawa) is a work-shy dreamer who works in a bookshop by day and is obsessed with building the ultimate haunted house at night. His friend Hsiao (Yoshinori Okada) does a better job of acting his age but is hopelessly single and desperate to please. Their lives are shaken up when they both fall in love with pretty but clumsy Akari and vow to capture her heart. Fujita’s sharp comic timing and three superb performances have located an international funny bone in this often hilarious off-beat comedy.
