Decacentric Cabaret Of Curiosities

-
Sat 25 October 2008 // 19:30

(Sat 25th / 7.3pm / £10)

As part of the Cube X umbrella celebrating ten years of The Cube, Ziegfield & Paradise hark back to the glory days when going out meant dressing up in tails, setting one's coiffure and arriving in a charabanc. From nineteen-thirties glamour and Weimar Republic sass to fifties bouffants and seventies fashionistas.
Expect a medley of new acts and Cabaret favourites including the 'Beguilingly Bizarre' maverick musician Thomas Truax, local heroes of male motion Boys and Dance, burlesque and further vaudevillian variety.

The show will open in Decacentric mayhem with ten ten-second acts. Oh, and fireworks too. Disc jockeys will spin discs for companion and solo dancing before, during and after the entertainment.

Dress like your wardrobe never saw nylon!

A simple crisp ten pound note will gain you entry and a welcoming glass of Decacentric Paradise Punch.

A CUBE X EVENT

NOTE: For CUBE X events Cube Volunteers are requested to bring a gift (probably food for artists and us) to The Cube in lieu of a ticket: a wedding style gift list is in the office to choose from.
